Blaire chapter 1: Adjustments
Blaire scrambled down the stairs, pushed ahead by a laughing mother. "Go on, hon."
"But mom! I don't wanna let them see me like like "
"A girl?"
"A half naked girl!"
"Oh, please," snorted her mother. "You're clothed perfectly fine."
"My skirt barely covers my thighs, and my shirt shows half my stomach!" Blire protested.
"True," the mother - Tiffany - muttered. "You know what, you're right!"
" I am?" blinked Blaire. Her mother had never let her win an argument, when she'd been male.
"Of course - you can't let your friends see you like this the first time as a girl! I insist you go at least

Blaire thumped her lunch tray down on the table, sighing in relief. Egg shell white with hard blue chairs, the little round that was the best site she'd had all day. She had almost been missing the guys oggling her by the end of that last, girl heavy class her mother had made her take. She knew there were smart girls in this college - she was certain of it. But somehow, everyone who saw her perfectly fitted outfit assumed she wasn't one of them, and it was driving her crazy.
"Have a good day?" asked Kira, sitting besides her as Keith slid in on the opposite side.
Blaire groaned, shooting her a grateful look for that little bit of normality.

Sarah: Shouldn't you be fighting ghosts?
Katie: Probably.
Sarah: Not going to do it anyway?
Katie: Probably not.
Sarah: Wanna chocolate?
Katie: Yes please.

Katie appears on couch as spirit bridge, with a confused female Ashley, and a complacent Sarah.
Mousey: You could be taking this more seriously.
Katie: I could be human, too - wanna make a deal?
Mousey: People can die because of this, you know.
Katie: Casperalla wasn't going to kill anyone. So you'll have to forgive me if I don't leap eagerly into things.
Mousey: casperall

Ali sighed, shifting in her saddle with the ease of a long time rider. She wished the man had let her keep her pony, rather than this gray spotted thing - but no one ever listened to a six year old.
"Are we there yet?" she asked, hopefully, staring at the trees around her.
There was no response from her new care taker, other than a flash of annoyance, as he took stock of the area with a gaze that took no account of beauty. Ali sighed again, putting her hands together as red sparks began running between her them, giggling as the image took form. A swirl of lines, carefully arched and blended together, the sight of it filled her with warmth.

Lucky sat on the hard plastic chair, back held stiff half a foot from the wall. His friend had left him here, and his heart hadn't stopped its hurried beating since, pounding against his chest as he struggled to figure out what was going on. He had thought that they could go together for his valentines birthday, but instead he'd found himself unceremoniously dumped at a dating service, with instructions to wait until she picked him up after his appointment. The fact that she'd been laughing as she drove away hadn't made him feel any better, nor did the absolute absence of people in the white washed waiting room.
A wooden door creaked open, a
I scooped up a bit of mashed potatoes, chewing vigorously and washing it down with a gulp of root beer as fast as I could, trying to wash the sticky stuff down my throat before it had a chance to cement.
"Is it good, Alec?" asked Sellina, leaning forward as her black hair swung down to frame her angelic face. Sellina was a black eyed beauty, a kind soul, and the sourest cook I've ever met - but if I ever told her that last part, she'd kill me thrice. Dating, or not, she had a temper on her like none I'd ever seen.
I managed a nod, scooping more potato into my mouth as she flashed a grin at me, making my heart warm, as I watched her hurry ba

Duck ran, his feet slamming into pavement without time for thought as he dodged another blast of yellow light. "Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuckie," teased his pursuer, "I'm going to keeeeeeeeeeeeeeell you. Once I turn you female anyway, you bloody little " another blast shot over his head, slamming into a rat. He swallowed as he watched the furry rat-girl dive into a hole, and found he could run a bit faster.
The alley was a blur, the red bricks flying by one after another as blast after blast pummeled to his side, and the girl after him growled in frustration. He shot a look behind him as the girl turned a corner, green hair a sheet behind her as sh

Jake felt his back slam into the wall, swallowing hard when he realized he had no where left to go. The school bullies grinned in front of him, cracking their knuckles as they prepared to give him his newest collection of bruises. Nervously, Jake regarded his soon to be tormentors, taking mental notes in case there was a chance to escape - or maybe just to stop himself from peeing in his pants.
Mace was on the left, built like a brick and twice as ugly, his overly bulky muscles and crows nest of green hair made him look like some monster from a little kid's book; the only thing that defeated his bad looks was his own intelligence, giving him

"Are you sure you won't join the sports team?" demanded Jessica, drawing a sigh from Ellie. She loved the little blonde like the sister everyone seemed to think they were, but there was no one worse within a mile when it came to not getting her way.
"For the last time," she sighed, "I'm sure."
"Come on, Ellie! I need someone to head my new club!" protested the girl, pouting.
Ellie just glared. "For the last time, I'm not going to play host to a bunch of idiot boys just because you want to set up a sport's club now that you're in college. It's not happening."
"But you're the best athlete I know!"
"Which is exactly why I'm not doing it, Je

The first bite was warm and soothing, the crust melting in my mouth as I chewed it. Flavors exploded through me, crisp apple, pear, nutmeg, vanilla, and something I couldn't even name, indistinct but oh so brilliant as it coursed through my being.
A heavily moan escaped my lips, and the fork darted down for another bite, the cool metal pressing against my lips as they slid along its length, sealing the pie in and bringing another gasp. The taste remained indistinct, but I chewed it anyway, my tongue pressing against my teeth to loosen any captured crumb, as my fork went for another bite, and another. I knew I shouldn't eat this much - it co
